City of Gold Coast

Make a meaningful difference. Lead with purpose. Build futures.

Yalari is seeking an experienced, values‑driven Student Support Manager to lead, inspire and support a team of Student Support Officers working across 12 of our partner schools across Australia.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role where relationships, culture and impact sit at the heart of everything you do. If you are a skilled people manager who thrives on collaboration, relationship building and seeing young people succeed, this role offers purpose, autonomy and the chance to make lasting change.

About the Role

As Student Support Manager, you will oversee and mentor a geographically dispersed team of Student Support Officers who provide care and guidance to Yalari Scholars and work to support and foster relationships with families, communities and partner boarding schools in throughout the country.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our scholars are supported academically, socially, emotionally and culturally, working closely with families, schools and internal teams to ensure every student has the best chance to thrive.

This role requires strong relational leadership, sound judgement, cultural awareness, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands‑on support.

A robust understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures will be invaluable in this work and is highly regarded.

For over 20 years, Yalari has been changing lives—creating pathways to opportunity for Indigenous children from remote and regional communities through full secondary education scholarships at Australia’s leading boarding schools.

Our support doesn’t stop at enrolment. We walk alongside students throughout their schooling, nurturing their confidence,

wellbeing and connection to culture. Beyond graduation, our alumni remain part of a powerful lifelong community—supported to grow as leaders, professionals and contributors to Australia.

Yalari is built on deep, respectful partnerships: with students and families, with schools, and with the generous organisations and individuals who believe in our mission.

Our CORRIE values—Compassion, Openness, Respect, Resilience, Inclusiveness and Excellence—guide how we work, how we lead, and how we show up for each other and our students.
