About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Accountant to join the pre-opening team at AC Hotel by Marriott Gold Coast . This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values integrity and accuracy, and enjoys partnering with operational leaders to drive business performance.

Reporting to the Multi-Property Director of Finance, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the hotel through accurate reporting, robust controls, and sound financial analysis. As part of Marriott International, you will be expected to uphold the company's core values by acting with honesty and accountability, building strong relationships across departments, and contributing to a culture where associates are empowered to perform at their best.

This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a pre-opening hotel, helping to establish financial processes, support commercial decision-making,



and contribute to the successful launch and ongoing performance of AC Hotel by Marriott Gold Coast. Through collaboration, continuous improvement, and a commitment to excellence, you will help deliver results that support both the business and the associate experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with accounts receivable activities, credit management, and revenue reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support financial audits and internal control processes.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to assist operational decision-making.
- Partner with department leaders to help manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
- Maintain strong financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function.

About You You are a proactive and analytical finance professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering accurate, timely financial information. You enjoy collaborating with stakeholders across the business and take pride in maintaining high standards of financial integrity.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; or
- Diploma/Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance with relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in hospitality, hotels, tourism, or a service-focused environment will be highly regarded.




- Working towards or holding a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent) is advantageous.
