We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Officer to join a professional finance team based in Milton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong high-volume AP experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing, reconciliation and payment of accounts, while providing day-to-day administrative support to ensure finance processes run smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day accounts payable processes
- Processing invoices and payments accurately and within required timeframes
- Responding professionally to enquiries from suppliers, creditors and internal stakeholders
- Following up and resolving supplier and internal stakeholder queries
- Setting up new supplier accounts and ensuring all required information is accurately captured
- Ensuring compliance with relevant finance systems, processes and procedures
- Reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis
- Investigating outstanding invoices and credit balances and ensuring reconciliations are completed by month end
- Preparing weekly payment runs as required
- Providing general administrative support to the finance function
- Assisting with training and knowledge sharing within the team where required
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment.
You will ideally have
- Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance processes
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- Experience with JDE E1 and/or Coupa highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a close-knit team
- Previous experience training colleagues or providing one-on-one support is advantageous
- Previous staff management experience advantageous
