As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, doctors and staff, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment while ensuring the smooth operation of our busy hospital reception.

About the Role

Our Reception team operates

- Weekdays: 6:00am to 8:00pm
- Weekends and Public Holidays: 8:00am to 8:00pm

As a Receptionist, you will:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, visitors,



doctors and staff
- Manage phone, email and face-to-face enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression of the hospital
- Support patient admissions and administrative processes
- Provide clerical and administrative assistance to the wider Admissions and Reception team
- Ensure information is handled accurately and confidentially
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture

About You

You are a people person who enjoys helping others and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. You remain calm under pressure, communicate confidently and are committed to delivering a professional and compassionate experience for every patient and visitor.

Essential

- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable

- Previous experience in a hospital, medical practice or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of private health insurance and patient eligibility processes
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Previous administration or reception experience in a fast-paced environment
