We are working with a national firm who is experiencing significant growth and looking to expand their insurance risk and liability team.

This is an opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to work closely with a highly regarded partner on child safety, general liability and special issues managing civil and National Redress Scheme claims of historical child abuse and working with organisations to ensure robust child protection policies and procedures, manage investigations, and provide strategic advice on a range of sensitive issues.

This role is open to candidates based in Sydney or Melbourne, and you will work across both jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

- Providing clients with legal advice




- Regularly reviewing applicable case law and legislative changes
- Conducting effective legal research and analysis to produce timely, commercial and legally accurate advice
- Managing a robust workload, including prioritising work and delivering services effectively
- Not just working on claims, but also being involved with front end policy work

About you:

- 4+ years' PQE
- Law degree and admission to practice in NSW or VIC with a current, unrestricted practicing certificate
- A working knowledge of running NSW and VIC based claims
- Ability to manage large volumes of documents
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to relate to people at all levels and effectively work in a team
- A solid, plain language communication style
