Well first and foremost, we are open Monday to Friday… and you know what that means…. NO WEEKENDS! Mmmmm what else…. NO LATE NIGHTS!

We are a split level Bar/Restaurant that caters to the local corporate crowd so everyone wanders home around 10 pm, even on a Friday! What else… Very rarely do we open on PUBLIC HOLIDAYS, and we close for a well earned Christmas Break.

Who would not want a competitive salary and have this much time off!! Very rare in hospitality.

Saint & Rogue is seeking an experienced and hands-on Bar Manager to join our Melbourne CBD venue on a full-time, six-month fixed-term contract, covering a period of parental leave.

This is a rare Monday-to-Friday hospitality role, offering a market-competitive salary of $80,000 plus superannuation. While the position is initially fixed term, there is genuine potential for it to develop into an ongoing full-time opportunity within the venue.

About the role

As Bar Manager, you will take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar and lead the bar team to deliver effective, professional and friendly service. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading, supporting and supervising the bar team
- Preparing rosters and managing staffing requirements
- Overseeing beverage ordering, receiving and stock rotation
- Managing stock levels, stocktakes, wastage and cost control
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and service
- Ensuring all liquor licensing, RSA, food safety and workplace safety requirements are met
- Training,



developing and motivating team members
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and performance management
- Monitoring bar performance and identifying operational improvements
- Working closely with the venue management, kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Providing hands-on support during busy service periods
- Opening and closing the venue as required

About you

We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager or in a similar hospitality leadership role
- Is confident managing and developing a team
- Has strong rostering, ordering and stock-control skills
- Understands beverage costs, margins and wastage management
- Is organised, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of the bar operation
- Leads from the front and enjoys being part of service
- Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Maintains high standards even during busy periods
- Holds a current Victorian RSA certificate
- Has full Australian working rights for the contract period
