Our client is a global equipment manufacturer with a major presence across Australia, Current Zealand and South-East Asia, and we are looking for an experienced Aftersales Truck Parts & Service Contracts Specialist to join their growing commercial team.
This is a genuine hunter sales role focused on growing aftermarket parts, service and customer relationships across the transport and fleet sector.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for developing new and existing fleet customers, selling truck and trailer aftermarket parts, service contracts and associated aftersales solutions.
You will deal directly with fleet operators ranging from single-truck businesses through to fleets of 10–15+ trucks, building long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to increase parts and service spend.
We are looking for someone who understands the truck aftermarket, knows how fleet customers operate and is confident getting out in front of customers to win business.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and grow sales of truck and trailer aftermarket parts
- Identify and win new fleet customers
- Manage and expand existing fleet relationships
- Sell service contracts and aftersales solutions
- Conduct regular customer visits and develop strong commercial relationships
- Identify opportunities to increase parts and service revenue
- Work closely with service, parts and internal OEM teams
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales
- Manage your sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue targets
- Develop relationships with fleet owners, transport managers,
workshops and purchasing teams
- Provide customers with technical and commercial advice across parts and service requirements
What We're Looking For We are looking for a proven aftermarket truck parts salesperson who understands the industry and knows how to sell.
You will ideally have
- 5+ years' experience selling aftermarket truck parts
- A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of truck and trailer parts
- Experience dealing with fleet customers and transport operators
- A proven track record in business development and sales
- Strong commercial negotiation and closing skills
- The confidence to cold call, prospect and win new business
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- Current Australian driver's licence
Experience with fleet maintenance, workshops, service contracts, truck dealerships, OEMs or aftermarket parts distributors will be highly regarded. Salary Package –
· Base Salary - $95,000
· Car Allowance - $21,000 + Fuel Card + Tolls
