Altitude is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing consumer technology company as it prepares to bring an exciting new wearable technology product to the Australian retail market. Join a market-leading technology business where you will play a pivotal role in launching and growing an innovative new product category across Australia's retail landscape. This is a commercially focused Business Development Manager position that combines strategic account management with new business development, giving you the opportunity to shape a brand-new go-to-market strategy and build strong partnerships with major retail and specialty channels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and manage relationships with retail buying and category teams across major retail and specialty channels
- Lead the go-to-market launch of a new wearable technology product, driving distribution, ranging and in-store presence
- Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising, market trends, competitor activity, and customer engagement
- Develop and execute business plans, promotional strategies, sales forecasts, and rebate programs to maximise category performance




- Partner closely with field sales teams and internal stakeholders to successfully launch and grow the product in market.

Key Requirements:

- Proven experience selling technology, electronics or wearable products into retail buying teams, ideally within consumer electronics, wearables, or fitness/sports equipment categories
- Experience launching new products or categories into retail highly regarded
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to grow a new brand and secure ranging, shelf space, and promotional support
- Highly organised, commercially astute, and capable of managing forecasting, planning, and account development autonomously
- A collaborative relationship builder who can engage effectively with buyers, category managers, store managers, and internal stakeholders
