Following the successful opening of our state-of-the-art private hospital, we are seeking an experienced Cardiac Scientific Officer to join our high-performing Cardiac Catheter Laboratory team and contribute to delivering outstanding patient care.

This role will require you will provide technical support and associated services to the Cardiac Vascular Intervention Unit for the performance of diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology studies.

Key responsibilities include:

- Operating and programming physiological monitoring equipment, accurately interpreting and recording cardiovascular measurements in line with consultant and procedural requirements.
- Managing computerised electrophysiology systems and stimulators, ensuring efficient operation and accurate recording, retrieval, and analysis of procedural data.
- Assisting with patient preparation and providing clinical support during procedures, including participation in emergency response and resuscitation when required.
- Coordinating the calibration, maintenance, and quality assurance of electrophysiology equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of consumables required for electrophysiology procedures.
- Collaborating with senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate, develop, and implement current techniques, technologies, and best practice procedures.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records and procedural documentation.
- Supporting the ongoing education and professional development of colleagues through both formal and informal training in electrophysiology practices and technologies.





You will hold a Bachelor of Science or Applied Science majoring in Anatomical Science, Biomedical Science, Exercise Physiology or Human Biology OR Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or Medical Imaging Technology and eligible for registration with the relevant Board. To succeed you will have Significant experience within the Angiography Suite setting as a Cardiac Scientific Officer or equivalent including extensive experience in:
- ECG recording and interpretation,
- Haemodynamic monitoring,
- Electrophysiology and catheter ablation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing cardiac services team, working in a state-of-the-art environment with access to advanced technology and innovative cardiac procedures. About the recent Midland Private Hospital

- A brand-new purpose-built state-of-the-art facility, currently under construction, located just 300 metres from the St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals Campus.
- A comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, with interventional cardiology being offered for the first time in the region

​The hospital features:

- 96 overnight inpatient beds, including a six-bed critical care/high dependency unit
- 33 bed/chair short stay and day procedure unit
- Eight operating theatres
- A Cardiac Catheter Laboratory

We can offer you





- Salary: $88,501 to $124,464 per annum plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent full-time position
