About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our team. The Chef will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, lead shifts, and ensure the smooth running of service. This is a full-time, permanent position for a reliable and career-driven professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and cooking menu items to a high standard
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations during service
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
- Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and cost control
- Train, mentor, and support kitchen team members
- Manage stock rotation, ordering, and supplier coordination
- Maintain a clean, secure, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor food costs, portion control,
and wastage
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant full-time experience as a Chef
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work weekends, public holidays, and during peak seasons
