In this position you will have the opportunity to bring your skills and knowledge to provide well presented, nutritional meals for our residents, creating a positive food and dining experience. Developing your growth within the industry you will manage all aspects of the catering and food production including supervision of catering staff.

The requirements
- Part time – 2 month Contract of 24hrs per week – required roster:
- Week 1 – 0600-1430 on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday
- Week [2 – 0600-1430](tel:2 – 0600-1430) on Monday and Wednesday
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Extensive cooking experience in a commercial environment
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of bulk cooking.
- Experience in ordering stock within budget guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with demonstrated interpersonal skills and empathy with older people.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to direct and supervise the work of others.
- An understanding of and an ability to deal with Work Health and Safety issues.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Commitment to workplace equity issues.
- Ensure the food service complies with the requirements of the NSW Food Authority
- First aid certificate
Desirable
- Previous experience in the Aged Care Industry and/or related services
