Corporate Carbon Advisory

Sydney

Own the supply of Australian Carbon Credit Units from a national portfolio of land-sector carbon projects, and lead the technical team that delivers them, from Carbon Estimation Area design and FullCAM modelling through to audit and credit issuance.

You will hold our relationship with the Clean Energy Regulator on delivery matters, and you will be the person the Board and the market rely on for a forecast that holds.

Sydney CBD hybrid | Full time, permanent | Corporate Carbon Group

About Corporate Carbon

Corporate Carbon Group is one of Australia’s largest carbon project developer and advisory business. We originate, develop and manage projects that generate Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) across vegetation, savanna fire management and agricultural methods, and we hold an Australian Financial Services Licence for our carbon trading and advisory activities. The group includes Corporate Carbon Advisory, Paniri Agricultural Co., AspiraDAC and Maki Planet Systems. Our purpose is accelerating the transition to a decarbonised economy. Our values are Respect, Leadership, Excellence, Collaboration and Flexibility, and we mean them: we are a small team with a large footprint, and how you work with people matters as much as what you know.

The role

- Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and leading our Carbon Delivery function, you will:
- Own the Group's ACCU supply forecast across the portfolio, by project, method and reporting period, including the assumptions behind it, the reconciliation of forecast to actual issuance, and a reliable view of supply and timing for Finance, Commercial and the Board.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the project portfolio: technical design, Carbon Estimation Area stratification, modelling including FullCAM, monitoring, measurement, reporting and verification, offsets reporting, audit and credit issuance, on time and audit ready.
- Act as the Group's authority on ACCU Scheme methodologies, in particular Human-Induced Regeneration and Savanna Fire Management,

interpreting method determinations and Clean Energy Regulator guidance and turning them into practical delivery requirements.
- Lead four senior reports and a function of roughly 12 to 15 people, setting standards, managing performance, building methodology depth and developing the next layer of leaders.
- Own the Group's relationship with the Clean Energy Regulator and registered auditors on delivery matters and keep us compliant under the ACCU Scheme and the Carbon Market Institute Code of Conduct.
- Set the direction, through the Delivery Technology and Automation Lead, for the data, automation and spatial systems that underpin delivery and forecasting, so that project, monitoring and supply data are accurate, version-controlled and a single source of truth.

You will need

- Ten or more years in land-sector carbon projects or emissions reduction, with a substantial part of that under the ACCU Scheme, formerly the Emissions Reduction Fund, or under a comparable regulatory scheme, across the full project lifecycle from registration through to issuance and permanence obligations.
- Five or more years leading a multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed technical team through senior reports, with evidence of setting expectations, managing performance and developing people, not just holding the title.
- Commercial acumen: you can translate technical and delivery decisions into supply, revenue, cost and risk, and you are comfortable being held to a forecast.
- Comfort leading a team that builds and uses automation, scripted workflows, spatial tools and AI. You do not need to code, but you do need to sponsor these tools, challenge what they produce and insist on well-governed data.

- Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, agriculture, natural resource management, engineering or a related discipline; Australian citizenship or the right to work in Australia; an unrestricted Australian driver's licence and the willingness to travel to remote sites.

It would help if you have

- Direct Human-Induced Regeneration and Savanna Fire Management methodology experience. If you have mastered a different complex regulatory scheme to an expert standard, we would still like to hear from you.
- Established relationships and credibility with the Clean Energy Regulator, registered auditors and industry bodies.
- Experience building or governing a portfolio-level abatement or credit forecast and improving its accuracy over time.
- Experience working with landholders, Traditional Owners and First Nations partners, and familiarity with GIS, FullCAM, scripted workflows or data platforms sufficient to lead and challenge a technical team.

What we offer

- A role with real scope in a business that is doing the work of decarbonisation, not talking about it. You will own an accountability that sits at the centre of the company's commercial position.
- Genuine hybrid working: our Sydney CBD office and working from home.
- Bonus Scheme
- Two additional days of leave each year, over and above the National Employment Standards.
- Regular travel to project sites across regional and remote Australia.
- A leadership team that is accessible and a culture that values directness, curiosity and getting things done well.

How to apply

Apply through SEEK with a CV and a short cover letter telling us why this role and why now. Applications close 30 September 2026. For a confidential conversation contact People, Engagement & Compliance at [email protected]. We welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people of all genders and backgrounds, and people with disability. If you need an adjustment at any stage of the process, tell us and we will arrange it.
