Your future role Join our C-Series Maintenance Contract team in Nowergup, WA , and play a critical role in keeping our facilities, infrastructure and support services operating safely, efficiently and reliably every day.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll take ownership of facilities and asset management across the Nowergup Maintenance Depot and associated operational sites. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll oversee the performance of critical infrastructure, facility services and cleaning operations, ensuring a safe, compliant and high-performing environment that supports our people, our customers and our rail operations. Working closely with operational teams, contractors and key stakeholders, you'll drive asset reliability, contractor performance, safety compliance and continuous improvement initiatives while leading a dedicated team responsible for maintaining the depot to the highest standards.
Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for:
- Lead the management of buildings, infrastructure, plant, equipment and facility assets across the Nowergup Maintenance Depot and associated sites.
- Oversee facility services including security, waste management, grounds maintenance and contractor-delivered services.
- Manage railcar cleaning operations, office and amenities cleaning, graffiti removal and vandalism rectification activities.
- Lead and develop a team comprising a Cleaning Supervisor and approximately 12 Cleaners, fostering a culture of safety, accountability and high performance.
- Coordinate specialist subcontractors,
including biohazard cleaning providers, ensuring quality, safety and compliance standards are achieved.
- Plan, schedule, monitor and record maintenance and facilities activities within SAP, maintaining asset integrity, work order compliance and maintenance history.
- Monitor asset performance and reliability, identifying corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Drive compliance with Environment, Health and Safety requirements, rail industry standards and environmental obligations.
- Manage contractor performance, service levels and budgets while identifying operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Deliver reporting, audits and improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, compliance and operational performance.

- Qualification in Facilities Management, Asset Management, Engineering or a related discipline, or a trade qualification supported by relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing both hard and soft facility services within an industrial, maintenance, manufacturing or operational environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams, contractors and multiple service providers to achieve operational outcomes.
- Strong understanding of Environment, Health and Safety legislation, risk management principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience using SAP PM or a similar computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) for maintenance planning, scheduling, work order management and reporting.
