Acan Group is currently seeking a Common Area Cleaner to join our team in Melbourne CBD.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, well presented environments and enjoys working in a professional hospitality setting. This role involves servicing a high-end hotel and ensuring all public areas are maintained to an exceptional standard for guests and visitors.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented and committed to delivering consistent quality in a fast-paced setting.
About the Role
This is a Part time/ Casual position, working 7.5 hours per day. You will be responsible for maintaining hotel public areas to a consistently high standard and ensuring guests experience a clean, safe and welcoming environment at all times.
Multiple shifts are available
- Morning shift
- Afternoon shift
- Night shift
Applicants must be available to work a rotating roster, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of lobbies, corridors, lifts and public restrooms
- Vacuum, mop, dust and polish floors and surfaces
- Clean glass, mirrors and frequently touched areas
- Empty bins and manage waste appropriately
- Replenish consumables, including hand towels, soap and sanitiser
- Complete scheduled detail-cleaning tasks
- Report maintenance issues,
hazards or safety concerns promptly
- Follow hotel procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
About You

- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning duties
- Available to work 8-hour shifts Part time/ Full time
- Flexible availability across morning, afternoon and night shifts
- Previous housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is preferred
- Hotel or hospitality cleaning experience is highly regarded
