Veteran Housing Australia (VHA) has been serving the Veteran community since 1932, and focusses on addressing homelessness, with housing assets in Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria.
About the role
This position is responsible for ensuring that VHA’s property services are undertaken in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, procedures and strategic plans. Reporting to the General Manager (GM) this role will work by building on the organisation’s reputation and profile through providing consistent property and tenancy management over VHA’s properties.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-end property management
- All administrative tasks associated with intake, assessment and placement
- Management of clients within VHA’s properties including CRM database
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with various external partners such as contractors and ex-service organisations
- Provide effective liaison between the GM and tenants

- Display passion for and commitment to the mission of VHA
- Organised and methodical thinker with a high attention to detail
- Enthusiastic self-driven person
- Highly effective communication skills and computer literacy
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- An understanding of property management including knowledge on the Residential Tenancies Act and Community Housing Standards
- An understanding of the impact of military service on individuals and families and knowledge of and empathy for the issues faced by ex-service personnel and their dependents
- Demonstrated commitment to working with people who have complex needs and experience social isolation, homelessness and mental health issues
