Kenworthy Diesel - Corporate Accountant

Kenworthy Diesel is a plant hire and mechanical services business operating across Western Australia's construction and civil industry. We service a growing fleet and client base, and are looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our team and help manage the financial backbone of the business.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and business support across the organisation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally driven setting and is comfortable working closely with leadership on commercial and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting across the business
- Oversee BAS, GST, PAYG, and other statutory/tax compliance obligations
- Support fleet and equipment procurement decisions with financial analysis
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
- Assist with joint venture financial reporting and reconciliation




- Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes
- Support payroll oversight and contractor/supplier payment processes
- Maintenance of fixed asset register and depreciation calculations.
- Completion of month end accounting activities including journals related to monthly accruals, prepayments etc.

About You

- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a corporate or commercial accounting role
- Experience in construction, civil, plant hire, or mechanical services industries highly regarded
- Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with senior leadership
