Operating vehicle-mounted cranes across electrical distribution and construction projects, supporting line crews with lifting, positioning and handling of power poles, electrical equipment and materials within Western Australia's electricity network. You will work on a 10 days on / 4 days off roster, involving working away from home for the duration of each 10-day swing.
Key responsibilities
- Operating vehicle-mounted cranes across electrical distribution and construction projects
- Supporting line crews with lifting, positioning and handling of power poles, electrical equipment and materials
- Assisting with pole installation, removal and general field activities
- Completing pre-starts and ensuring plant and equipment is maintained safely
- Preparing and securing loads for transport
- Working in live and de-energised electrical network environments in accordance with procedures
- Following lifting plans, SWMS and site requirements
- Undertaking mandatory LAHA duties
About you
- Current WA HR driver's licence or higher
- High Risk Work Licence – Crane (C2 minimum)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Previous crane operating experience in construction, utilities, civil works or similar
- Understanding of safe lifting, load restraint and plant operation
- Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a crew
- Willingness to undertake mandatory LAHA and network-specific training
- Ability and willingness to undertake physical, outdoor and away-from-home work
