Creative Workshop Coaches – After School & Holiday Programs

Casual Contractor Opportunities | Cannon Hill & Brisbane StarTime is looking for energetic, reliable and engaging Creative Workshop Coaches to join our Queensland team as casual contractors.

We deliver creative, hands-on programs for primary school-aged children across Drama, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Filmmaking, LEGO Animation, Minecraft, Robotics and more.

Current Opportunities

We are currently looking for coaches available for regular after-school workshops on Mondays and/or Thursdays in the Cannon Hill area, with the chance to pick up additional work across Brisbane and our Christmas school holiday programs. This is a great fit for performers, creatives, educators and facilitators looking for flexible work alongside other commitments.

What You'll Do

As a StarTime Coach, you'll help create an exciting and supportive environment where kids can build their confidence, creativity, communication and collaboration skills. Depending on your experience, you may lead workshops as a Head Coach or support delivery as an Assistant Coach.

You'll

- Deliver engaging, structured creative workshops
- Inspire and encourage primary school-aged children
- Create a positive and inclusive workshop environment
- Follow provided StarTime workshop plans and resources
- Work alongside other coaches and venue teams
- Follow safety, child protection and venue procedures
- Communicate professionally with students, parents,

schools and the StarTime team

Who We're Looking For

You might come from performing arts, dance, drama, education, childcare, film, coaching, facilitation, children's entertainment or another creative field. More importantly, we're looking for people who are:

- Fantastic with kids
- Confident engaging a group
- Energetic and creative
- Reliable and organised
- Strong communicators
- Comfortable working independently when required
- Able to commit to regular term-time workshops

Previous experience working with children is highly regarded.

Contractor Requirements

Successful coaches will need:
- A current Queensland Blue Card
- First Aid and CPR
- An ABN
- Reliable transport or the ability to travel to workshop locations
- Availability during after-school hours

Why StarTime?

You'll be doing much more than supervising children. Our coaches use their creativity and experience to help young people discover what they're capable of. We provide workshop plans, resources and training, with opportunities to develop across our Coach Pathways training programs.

If you're available Mondays and/or Thursdays around Cannon Hill and would also love additional work during the Christmas school holidays, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply through SEEK with your resume and a cover letter to tell us about your experience working with children, your creative skills and your current availability.
