Data Engineer | Microsoft Fabric | Modern Data Platform Are you a Data Engineer looking to take the next step in your career and help shape the future of a up-to-date data platform?

We're looking for a Data Engineer to play a key role in growing an organisation's data and analytics capability. You'll design, build and optimise scalable data solutions that enable reporting, analytics and data-driven decision making across the business. Working within a modern Microsoft ecosystem, you'll help deliver a robust data platform while contributing to architecture, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

- Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric
- Develop and optimise Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions following Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) principles
- Create and maintain semantic models that deliver trusted, business-ready data for reporting and self-service analytics
- Design, build and optimise SQL Server databases, data models and ETL processes
- Deliver impactful reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI
- Support the ongoing modernisation of the organisation's data platform and reporting environment




- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Drive data quality, governance and performance improvements across the platform

What we're looking for:
- Experience working as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role
- Strong SQL development, database design and data modelling skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Factory and Warehouse components
- Experience designing and implementing Medallion Architecture within modern data platforms
- Strong understanding of semantic modelling and delivering enterprise reporting solutions
- Experience with Power BI development, dashboards and data visualisation
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT patterns and best practices
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience working within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Accounting, Wealth Management, Investment management, Trading or Capital Markets environments will be highly beneficial
