Embrace Orthodontists is an expanding orthodontic practice with three locations across Canberra — Belconnen, Manuka and Gungahlin. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team on a full time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Dental Assistant who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy clinical environment and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care.
About the role
As a Dental Assistant at Embrace Orthodontists, you will work closely with our orthodontists and clinical team to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures
- Preparing surgeries and clinical areas
- Sterilisation and infection control
- Providing patients with friendly and reassuring chairside support
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming clinical environment
- Supporting the team with day-to-day clinical and administrative duties
- Helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their orthodontic journey
- Working collaboratively with our wider practice team
About you
- Qualified or experienced as a Dental Assistant - preferred
- Previous orthodontic experience is highly regarded
- Friendly, approachable and confident with patients
- Caring and compassionate, particularly when working with children and teenagers
- Reliable, punctual and highly organised
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- A strong team player with a positive attitude
- Professional and well presented
- Keen to learn and develop their orthodontic skills
- Able to work across our Belconnen, Manuka and Gungahlin locations
