Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically seasoned Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive engineering solutions for Audio Visual (AV) systems, ensuring that every project meets specified functional requirements, quality standards and performance expectations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design lifecycle, including initial concept

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

- Design AV systems from project briefs and technical specifications.

- Produce system schematics, layouts, and documentation using AutoCAD.

- Develop technical design solutions for tenders and project delivery.

- Research and integrate new AV technologies and products.

- Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, technical documentation, and manuals.

- Design custom AV mounting hardware and fabricated components.

- Provide technical support to Sales, Project, and Installation teams.





- Provide on-site technical system commissioning at the completion of a project for more complex and advanced installations

- Commission and troubleshoot complex AV systems on site.

- Participate in product training and engineering meetings.

Education and Certifications

- Degree qualified in ICT/AV, Engineering or Design discipline

Competencies, Skills And Experiences

- Australian citizenship to be able to access Secure Agencies content is desirable.

- Seasoned experience in AV/VC systems design or a related engineering field.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential for the production of schematics and technical layouts.

- Robust understanding of signal flow, AV infrastructure and integration protocols.

- Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to create clear, instructional documentation.

- A logical approach to complex problem-solving and re-engineering tasks.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between technical teams and sales departments.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strict attention to detail.

- A proactive attitude toward professional development and new technology adoption.
