About us:

The North Queensland Eating Disorders Service (NQuEDS) is a specialised multidisciplinary team providing high-quality, evidence-based assessment, consultation, liaison and treatment for people living with eating disorders across the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS). Delivering care across the continuum, the service is sub-acute, voluntary, recovery-oriented, person-centred and family-inclusive, with a collaborative and empowering approach grounded in the belief that people can and do recover from eating disorders. NQuEDS is committed to reducing barriers to care, particularly for consumers living in rural and remote areas of the region and provides specialist consultation and education to support local services and clinicians.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will...

Contribute to clinical research activities within the area of dietetic practice.

Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within clinical area and actively initiate, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of dietetic services.





Deliver high-quality dietetic services within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital Health Service to complex clients in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, with a high degree of independence. Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, utilise evidence-based standards and adapt routine clinical practice using high level clinical reasoning.

Provide clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders to inform and enhance service delivery.
