The Position Seymour College is seeking an exceptional leader to become its next Director of Boarding. This is a unique opportunity to lead one of Australia's most respected boarding communities and play a pivotal role within a leading independent girls’ school. Home to more than 100 boarders from regional and rural Australia, interstate and overseas, the Boarding House is a defining feature of the Seymour experience, recognised for its strong culture of care, connection and belonging.
The successful candidate will build on this legacy while helping shape the next chapter of boarding at Seymour College.
Reporting to the Deputy Principal, Wellbeing and Operations, the Head of Boarding provides strategic and operational leadership of the Boarding House and its team of boarding professionals. Responsible for student wellbeing, residential operations, family engagement and community building, the role ensures a safe, inclusive and supportive setting where every boarder can thrive. Working closely with academic, wellbeing and leadership teams across the College, the Head of Boarding will strengthen connections between boarding and school life, oversee continuous improvement initiatives and maintain the high standards that have established the Boarding House as a destination of choice for families.
The successful candidate will be a visible, authentic and highly relational leader with significant boarding or residential education experience.

College is seeking an individual with strong judgement, operational capability and a deep commitment to student wellbeing and duty of care. A teaching background will be highly regarded, together with experience building trusted relationships with students, families and staff.
The ideal candidate will bring warmth, maturity and credibility, a genuine understanding of rural and regional communities, and the ability to lead diverse cohorts while fostering a stable, welcoming and home-like environment for every boarder.

Founded in 1922, Seymour College is one of South Australia’s leading independent day and boarding schools for girls, with Early Years co‑education, located on a single 25‑acre campus in Glen Osmond.
