MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING SUPPORT WORKER NEEDED – CASUAL

Hope and Wellbeing Care Services is looking for a compassionate and experienced Mental Health & Wellbeing Support Worker who can support a male participant in his 30s living with mental health.

As a Mental Health & Wellbeing Worker, you will provide tailored, person-centred support to vulnerable consumers living with multiple complex needs, including mental health and dual diagnosis.

Support the participant to meet their individual goals, build confidence and engage more fully in everyday life and the community.

Key responsibilities include

Providing emotional and psychosocial support

Providing daily living support, including household tasks and routines

Meal preparation and encouraging healthy daily routines

Supporting community access, social activities and meaningful engagement

Encouraging independence, confidence and self-advocacy

Building a positive and trusting relationship with the participant

Supporting the participant to participate more fully in their community





Maintaining accurate and confidential client records

Working within a person-centred and informed care.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

Compassionate, patient and empathetic An excellent communicator

Reliable, respectful and genuinely person-centred

Confident supporting someone experiencing mental health challenges

Able to work independently while maintaining professional boundaries

Experienced in mental health support

Mental health experience is essential.

Lived experience is highly regarded and can be a valuable asset in this role.

Position details

Casual position

Approximately 15–20 hours per week
