Duty Manager / Venue & Events Supervisor

Following the departure of a long-standing senior team member, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager / Venue & Events Supervisor to join our hospitality leadership team in a stable, long-term capacity.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will champion the smooth operation of evening food and beverage services, private dining, club functions, and special member events.
This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for a hospitality professional who loves leading from the front, takes genuine pride in service excellence, and wants to build lasting relationships within a highly respected private club environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee and drive exceptional service delivery across all evening food and beverage operations, club functions, and private events.
- Team Management: Supervise, support, and coach staff during evening and weekend trading periods to maintain the Club's premium standards.
- Event Coordination: Assist with event planning, room preparation, and the seamless operational delivery of high-end functions.
- Training & Development: Design and deliver staff training programs focused on product knowledge and service standards in alignment with management.
- Compliance & Presentation: Ensure strict compliance with RSA requirements and club policies while maintaining immaculate venue presentation.
Skills & Experience
- Proven Experience: Previous supervisory or management experience within premium hospitality, food and beverage, hotels, clubs, or events.
- Leadership Skills: Strong people management capabilities with a natural ability to coach, inspire, and develop a team.
- Event Execution: Demonstrated experience coordinating and executing functions and special events seamlessly.
- Communication & Calmness: Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to remain calm, skilled, and composed under pressure.
- Compliance & Credentials: A current South Australian RSA certificate and a current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Availability: Flexibility to work a roster that predominantly includes evenings and weekends.
