The Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join our Perth team to help design, document and deliver electrical engineering solutions for land development and infrastructure projects across Western Australia.

Working alongside experienced engineers, designers and project managers, you'll contribute to projects from concept through to delivery, gaining exposure to technical design, stakeholder engagement, project coordination and construction support.

As an Electrical Designer at JDSi, you will:

- Produce accurate and compliant electrical, communications and lighting designs that meet client requirements, Western Power standards, Australian Standards and JDSi design guidelines.
- Prepare single line diagrams, calculations, design documentation, feasibility assessments and serviceability reports.
- Participate in design reviews,



quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, contractors, utility providers and clients.
- Attend site during construction and contract administration phases.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of JDSi's Electrical team.
- Represent JDSi's values and commitment to delivering quality outcomes for our clients.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A Diploma or Bachelor's qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline OR significant demonstrated experience in an Electrical Designer role.
- Experience producing electrical infrastructure designs for land development and/or infrastructure projects within Western Australia.
- Experience producing LV designs, single line diagrams, voltage drop calculations and public lighting designs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Western Power requirements and Australian Standards.
- Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- A current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Australian work rights suitable for ongoing employment in Western Australia.
- Exposure to construction, contract administration or project delivery activities will be highly regarded.
