South Australia – Mid North | Long-term contract | Vehicle & accommodation An opportunity is available for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the Owner’s project team on a major utility-scale wind farm in South Australia’s Mid North.

The project is now progressing into the electrical construction phase, creating an opportunity for a seasoned supervisor to provide site-based electrical surveillance and assurance across this large-scale renewable energy development.

Working closely with contractors and the broader project team, you will monitor electrical works across construction, testing, energisation and commissioning, with a strong focus on safety, quality, programme and compliance.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include

- Site surveillance of electrical construction and installation works

- Monitoring contractor performance, quality and compliance

- Oversight of wind farm electrical and balance-of-plant works

- HV/MV reticulation, underground cabling and earthing

- Substation, switchyard and transmission interfaces

- Inspecting works and witnessing testing and hold points

- Reviewing ITPs, work packs, test plans and method statements

- Identifying defects, non-conformances and outstanding works

- Supporting electrical testing, energisation and commissioning

- Monitoring progress and identifying site and interface issues

- Maintaining accurate inspection, quality and site records

- Working closely with construction, HSE, engineering and contractor teams

This is an Owner-side oversight role focused on surveillance, assurance and contractor compliance rather than directly managing the contractor workforce.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor who can demonstrate:

- Approximately 10 years’ experience as an Electrical Supervisor





- Electrical trade qualification or relevant electrical qualification

- Strong, demonstrated experience in utility-scale wind farm construction

- Strong electrical construction and high-voltage experience

- Experience across wind farm BOP, turbine electrical, substation or transmission works

- Sound knowledge of HV/MV systems, cabling, earthing and electrical safety

- Experience with testing, commissioning and energisation

- Strong understanding of ITPs, quality documentation and compliance

- Ability to confidently monitor and challenge contractor works

- Solid safety focus and clear site reporting skills

- Australian working rights and a current driver’s licence

Experience within an Owner’s team, Owner’s Engineer, EPCM or similar client-side environment will be highly regarded.

The Assignment The project is located near Georgetown in South Australia’s Mid North.

The assignment is expected to commence November/December 2026, initially for approximately 12 months with potential to extend to 18–24 months as the project progresses.

The standard roster is 5:2, Monday to Friday, approximately 10 hours per day. Local and regional candidates are encouraged to apply, with suitably experienced candidates from Adelaide and further afield also considered.

A project vehicle and fuel are provided, with project accommodation available where required.

Contractor hourly rates will be considered individually and will reflect the candidate’s level of supervisory experience, wind farm background and overall suitability for the project.
