Why You Want to Work Here

- You don't need to already be a qualified technician to start here. If you've got the instincts and the interest, we'll build the rest through six months of structured, paid training alongside experienced technicians who know this machinery inside and out.
- Work on machinery most people never get exposure to. CDK Stone has relationships with leading machinery manufacturers across the globe, giving you the opportunity to install, commission and work directly on sophisticated CNC equipment.
- Build a career with real variety. You'll get out to customer sites for everything from servicing and breakdowns to installing, aligning and commissioning new machinery, taking on more complex work as your skills grow.

About You

- You're the person who takes things apart just to understand how they go back together. Maybe it's the car, the mower, or whatever's lying around the garage—if it's mechanical, you're in it.
- You want a job that's genuinely hands-on, not one where you're stuck behind a desk or watching someone else do the compelling part. You're happiest with tools in your hands and a problem in front of you.
- You might not be a qualified technician yet, and that's fine—what matters is that you're ready to start building that skill set properly, with people who'll teach you the trade from the ground up.

About the Role

- Completing a structured 6-month graduate training program in Melbourne (all expenses paid), building technical capability through hands-on field experience and mentoring from senior technicians.
- Performing routine servicing and preventative maintenance on CNC machinery, ensuring equipment operates safely, reliably, and in line with manufacturer standards.
- Conducting root cause analysis, fault-finding, and diagnosing efficient solutions to machinery breakdowns, minimising downtime for customers.
- Executing the end-to-end installation of machinery, from pre-site inspection and delivery oversight through to assembly, commissioning, and training end users.
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers, representing the brand and communicating effectively with stakeholders ranging from production managers to small business owners.

Selection Criteria To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be able to tick the list below.

- Interested in a hands-on role with machinery
- Willing to relocate to Melbourne for 6 months
