Here’s What You’ll Be Up To… We’re looking for a skilled Event Producer to help shape, deliver and grow Penrith City Council’s major events and community events, for a temporary period up to December 2027. You’ll play a crucial role across planning, programming, production, logistics and creative development, bringing Council’s event strategy to life. Working alongside the Events and Activations Program Manager and team, in this role, you will:
- Produce and deliver events of various scales end-to-end
- Support the production and delivery of Real Festival, our flagship event
- Manage logistics, programming, suppliers, contractors and onsite delivery
- Build partnerships with artists, creatives and community groups
- Keep events safe, inclusive and aligned with Council’s strategy
- This role will require work outside of hours and on weekends pending event delivery.

Requirements Essential
- Tertiary qualification in events, marketing, arts management or other related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in the events industry with an understanding of project management of major and community events and festivals
- Demonstrated experience in programming, technical production and infrastructure management for events and festivals
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritise work along with the ability to adapt to changing work situations and environments
- Current Class C driver licence
Desirable
- Experience in the development of marketing and promotional campaigns and strategies for events and festivals
- Positive knowledge of a broad range of artistic disciplines including visual art, design, music, theatre and dance
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated experience in the arts and cultural industry
- Local government experience
