About the Role
Step into a key nursing leadership role where you’ll guide quality care, support your team and help keep the unit running smoothly. You’ll work alongside the Nurse Unit Manager to strengthen clinical practice, patient flow and a positive team culture.
- Lead nursing care and support consistent patient outcomes
- Coordinate patient care, services and efficient flow
- Support daily unit operations and service priorities
- Guide staffing, rosters, leave and work allocation
- Drive evidence-based practice and quality improvement
- Support change and resolve care or service issues
- Develop staff through teaching, coaching and feedback
- Promote a positive learning and team culture
- Contribute to clinical audits, research and service review
About You
You are a collaborative nursing professional ready to step into a key leadership role, bringing strong clinical judgement, clear communication and a commitment to safe, high-quality care.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold current registration as a Nurse with NMBA
- Bring strong clinical nursing expertise
- Guide staff and support less experienced nurses
- Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Apply sound judgement, problem-solving and negotiation skills
