The Opportunity As a result of continued growth, we are open to hearing from Conflicts & Ethics Senior Advisors who are interested in joining our Risk & Compliance team in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, on either a full time, Permanent or 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis either now or in the future. As a Senior Advisor you'll be responsible for working with the wider Risk & Compliance management team to ensure the firm performs comprehensive conflict and other assessments related to the inception of new business and management of existing business with particular emphasis on, but not limited to, ensuring the firm meet obligations in relation to conflicts of interest (and other associated requirements such as contractual agreements with clients), AML/CTF, and compliance issues worldwide.

You will play a pivotal role within the firm's global Risk & Compliance team to ensure the work being undertaken meets the firm's global strategy.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

- Significant professional services experience within a law firm, particularly in conflicts and risk
- AU or overseas legal qualification (or minimum of LPC).
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and business awareness; ability to put an argument across in a clear, articulate way to the partnership and to senior management; requires excellent negotiation skills.
- Keen interest in knowing the business and lateral/analytical thinking: exposure to firm-wide legal practices will involve exposure to various types of high profile commercial deals.
- Discreet and professional as the information will be confidential and sensitive.
- Robust interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively at all levels across the firm and offices.
- Good team spirit: assist others when necessary with the resolution of issues in a diplomatic manner. Able to lead by example.
- Commitment to supporting the team as a global function and ability to strengthen those connections globally.
- Ability to use own judgment to come to decisions but also aware of when issues need to be escalated.
- Flexible and able to adapt to new situations, processes and technology.
