About the role The role involves supporting a participant in her home and community with a range of daily living and personal support needs.
Key responsibilities
- Personal care and assistance with daily living
- Support with mobility and safe manual handling
- Assistance with positioning and pressure care where required
- Household tasks and meal preparation
- Community access and appointments
- Medication support in accordance with the participant's support requirements
- Following participant-specific care and health management plans
- Monitoring and reporting changes in wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and shift handovers
- Providing respectful support within the participant's home
About you
- Reliable and dependable
- Calm, respectful and compassionate
- Qualified and emotionally mature
- Proactive and able to use initiative
- Comfortable working independently
- Respectful of privacy, dignity and personal choice
- Confident with personal care and daily living support
- Able to follow instructions, care plans and procedures
- A good communicator with accurate documentation skills
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
