Finance Business Partner - Digital Transformation Projects

This is a genuine opportunity for a commercially-minded finance professional to play a central role across two major transformation programs at a national, publicly-listed services business. Our client is looking for a Finance Business Partner to support financial governance and delivery across two significant digital transformation projects.

The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll take ownership across:

- Developing and managing project budgets, forecasts and financial models for two major digital transformation projects
- Delivering accurate, timely month-end reporting, including variance analysis and insights
- Monitoring project financial performance against budget and approved funding
- Performing OPEX vs CAPEX assessments and reviews in line with accounting standards and company policy
- Ensuring strong financial governance and controls across both projects, including monitoring spend against approved budgets
- Collaborating with non-landfill site finance teams to review and maintain adequate provisions
- Partnering with project managers, digital leads, procurement and finance teams as the primary finance contact for project matters
- Presenting financial updates to Steering Committees and project governance forums

A high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of finance, project delivery and governance, with direct exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.





What they're looking for

CA or CPA qualified, with an open mind on background - this could suit someone coming straight from a large accounting firm, or someone who already has Finance Business Partner or Project Accountant experience. The background matters less than the attitude: curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the drive to grow with the business. Specifically:

- Experience supporting digital or transformation projects is highly desirable, but not essential
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with JDE and advanced Excel skills
- Intermediate knowledge across the MS Suite of products
- Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, commerce or a related field
