About the client:

We’re working with a growing, Private Equity-backed healthcare organisation with over $200m in revenues last year and continuing to grow organically and through planned M&A.;

The business is going through a significant transformation, with a new leadership team, continued growth and a clear agenda to strengthen its finance function. This is a fast-moving environment with plenty to improve, offering the right person the opportunity to have a genuine impact on how finance operates.

About the role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this newly created Finance Manager role will take ownership of the core financial accounting function and help build stronger processes, controls and reporting across the organisation.

This is a hands-on accounting role. The immediate priority is getting the foundations right: improving month-end, strengthening balance sheet control, resolving accounting issues and making better use of the finance systems.

You’ll lead a small local accounting team and oversee an offshore Accounts Payable function, with responsibilities including:

- Drive transformation through systems and process improvements.
- Lead month-end close and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Own balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, journals, accruals and financial controls.
- Review management reporting and investigate variances and accounting issues.
- Oversee the Accounts Payable function and improve processes, controls and supplier reconciliations.
- Review complex payroll accounting, journals, accruals and reconciliations.
- Identify weaknesses across systems and processes, particularly within NetSuite and payroll.
- Support audit, statutory and compliance requirements.
- Coach and develop the financial accounting team.





There is a significant improvement agenda ahead. Success will mean creating a finance function that produces accurate, reliable information quickly and gives the wider business confidence in the numbers.

About You:

You’re a qualified CA or CPA with strong financial accounting experience and the ability to operate effectively in a changing environment.

You may already be a Finance Manager, or you could be an experienced Senior Financial Accountant ready to step into your first management role.

You will bring

- Strong technical accounting skills across month-end, balance sheet management and financial reporting.
- Experience within a reasonably complex or high-volume operating environment.
- Practical exposure to payroll accounting, including reviewing payroll journals and reconciliations.
- Experience managing or overseeing Accounts Payable.
- Confidence identifying accounting, control and process issues and working through them to resolution.
- Strong systems capability, with NetSuite experience advantageous.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the resilience to work through an environment where not everything is already documented or established.

Prior experience in a PE environment is advantageous. Healthcare industry experience would be practical but isn’t essential. Experience in other labour-intensive sectors such as retail, staffing, logistics, facilities management or similar environments could translate well.
