Organisation Profile
Our client is a globally recognised FMCG manufacturer with an iconic portfolio of household brands. As the business evolves its bringing a Finance Business Partner role to market as the business is investing in a newly created, high-visibility role within its Supply Chain Finance function.
Role Overview
This is a genuinely high-visibility Supply Chain Finance Business Partner role, reporting directly to the Head of Supply Finance. You'll act as the trusted finance partner to the Supply Chain function, driving financial governance, cost optimisation and inventory efficiency across a complex, technical network. Unlike a traditional reporting-heavy role, this position sits right at the center of operational decision-making, working closely with Factory and Supply Chain leadership to shape how the business manages freight, storage, co-pack and inventory costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as lead finance business partner to Supply Chain leadership, embedding financial insight into operational planning and decision-making
- Drive cost management and financial governance across prime costs, logistics productivity, service costs, co-pack and inventory
- Support long-term strategic planning and validate forecasts and investment plans across the supply chain
- Lead ongoing trend analysis, identifying business risks and opportunities and recommending action
- Provide insights and inputs into the operating plan, revised forecasts and strategic planning cycles
- Drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, tracking action plans and escalating variances as needed
- Build strong relationships with warehousing and site leaders across a multi-site operational network
Why This Role Stands Out
- A rare opportunity to be embedded at the heart of a complex, technical supply chain network, not just reporting on it from the outside
- High-visibility mandate with direct exposure to senior Supply Chain leadership from day one
- Genuine scope to shape how the role and function operate, given the business's ongoing organisational change
- Still a genuinely family-oriented culture despite its global scale, with strong work-life balance and no expectation of excessive hours
- Attractive benefits including novated leasing, superannuation co-contribution matching, and discounted gym membership
- Hybrid working arrangements (3 days office, 2 days from home)
Ideal Candidate You're a finance professional with direct supply chain finance experience, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing environment, who's comfortable operating in a genuinely complex, technical network. You bring strong business partnering skills and relationship-building instincts, given the number of recent stakeholder relationships this role will need to build. You're commercially minded, analytically strong, and ready to bring structure and governance to an evolving environment.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
- CPA/CA or equivalent highly advantageous
- Experience within FMCG, Manufacturing, Retail or Big4/Mid Tier backgrounds
- Working knowledge of supply chain processes (Demand Planning, S&OP;, Inventory flow & control, Production Scheduling)
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capability
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
