About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic finance team based in Footscray. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a pivotal role that blends both management and financial accounting responsibilities, with a primary focus on business performance analysis, financial reporting, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities include,
Management Accounting
- Analyse budget and forecast reports to ensure data accuracy and alignment with company guidelines and expectations.
- Assist in the annual budget process, providing guidance and support to managers for accurate budget development.
- Analyse financial results for individual locations against budget/forecast and assist managers in making informed business decisions.
- Distribute monthly financial reports for individual sites.
- Prepare and present operational forecasts for financial and operational reporting.
Financial Accounting:
- Analyse budget and forecast reports to ensure data accuracy and alignment with company guidelines and expectations.
- Lead the annual budget process, supporting managers to develop accurate budgets in line with company expectations.
- Monitor financial results for individual locations, providing support to managers in decision-making.
- Distribute monthly site-specific financial reports.
- Prepare and present operational forecasts for financial and operational reporting.
- Partner with external auditor and tax advisor in preparation and lodgement of FBT, R&D; and other statutory reports.
Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with the Finance Team to develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational performance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to streamline processes and improve stakeholder service.
About You You hold a tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA/CA qualification being highly desirable. With at least 5 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, you bring strong technical accounting knowledge and exceptional analytical skills.
You are proficient in Excel and have a deep understanding of accounting standards.
Comfortable working with complex financial data, you excel at communication, both written and verbal, and are adept at leading and mentoring teams.
Your ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems effectively, and drive continuous improvement will make you an invaluable asset to our team. Additionally, you’ll have opportunities to travel to other sites, gaining a deeper understanding of our business and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
