We're partnering with a highly respected commercial & residential builder to recruit an experienced Finishes Foreman to join their growing site team.
Renowned for delivering architecturally designed homes of exceptional quality, our client has built a strong reputation within Melbourne's premium residential market. With a healthy pipeline of bespoke projects ranging from $5M to $20M+, they are seeking a finishing-focused foreman who takes genuine pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager and Project Team, you will take ownership of the finishes phase across luxury residential projects, ensuring all work is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
Your responsibilities will include
- Managing all finishing trades and subcontractors on site
- Coordinating final-stage construction activities
- Driving programme outcomes and ensuring milestones are achieved
- Maintaining exceptional quality control throughout the finishes stage
- Conducting defect inspections and managing rectification works
- Liaising with clients, architects, designers, and consultants
- Ensuring site presentation reflects the premium nature of the projects
- Maintaining a robust focus on workplace health and safety
- Supporting project handovers and client walkthroughs
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Proven experience as a Finishes Foreman, Foreman, or Leading Hand within luxury residential construction
- Strong understanding of high-end finishes, detailing, and quality expectations
- Experience working on custom homes valued from $3M+
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain programme performance
- A meticulous eye for detail and commitment to workmanship
- Strong knowledge of Australian building standards and site safety requirements
- Trade qualification or relevant construction background highly regarded
