As a Financial Risk Executive, you will support the identification, assessment and monitoring of financial risks across CMC’s CFD and Stockbroking businesses. Working closely with the Financial Risk Management and Liquidity team, you will analyse exposures arising from market movements, trading activity and liquidity requirements, helping to provide clear and timely information to support risk oversight and decision-making. You will also contribute to risk reporting, financial analysis, modelling and stress testing to help highlight potential impacts on the business.

This role provides an opportunity to develop strong technical experience in financial risk within a complex and fast-moving environment. You will build your understanding of market, liquidity and other financial risk concepts while working with varied exposures across two distinct businesses. With support from experienced colleagues, you will contribute to effective risk monitoring and reporting while developing a strong foundation for a career in financial risk management.

What you’ll be working on

- Monitor and proactively identify financial risk issues pertaining to CMC Market’s CFD and Stockbroking business.
- Compile and drive the continuous improvement of FRM’s monthly board management information for senior management that identifies and outline the financial risks within CFD and Stockbroking.
- Verify relevant risk and KRI metrics have been appropriately signed off and reported.
- Assist with the review and development of new business projects to ensure any financial risks are readily identified, managed and mitigated.
- Provide advice and guidance to business representatives on financial risk matters and work proactively to build a solid risk culture.

What will help you be successful?

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify potential risks or trends
- A degree or relevant qualification in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, risk or another quantitative discipline
- Some experience in financial risk management, market risk, liquidity risk, risk reporting,



financial analysis or a related function
- Experience within a stockbroking or trading environment will be highly regarded
- A foundational understanding of financial markets, derivatives, financial instruments and risk concepts
- Strong Excel skills; exposure to Python, SQL or other data analysis tools will be advantageous
- High attention to detail, with a curious, proactive and investigative approach to problem-solving
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly to colleagues and stakeholders
- Full working rights in Australia
