About the role
Reporting to the Print Supervisor, an chance has become available for a Flexographic Printer to join the team at our Moorabbin manufacturing plant. You will be required to operate all existing 6, 8 and 10 colour web Printing Presses. The position available is Night B shift working 3 x 12 hour nights a week.
Key responsibilities
- Operating print presses safely and efficiently - maximising speed and quality whilst minimising downtime
- Leading Printers Assistants to ensure they meet or exceed production standards for output and setup allowance
- Communicating issues as they arise within and between shifts
- Engage in and promote Continuous Improvement
- Offer advice and assistance to other printers as required
About you
- Ability to safely operate the printing press and other plant and equipment after training
- Strong Colour aptitude and eye for detail
- A printing trade qualification or equivalent
- Good numeracy skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and be clear under pressure
- A Forklift license is an advantage, however not essential
- A strong quality background and ability to perform quality checks
