Fire Risk Consultants (FRC) is looking for Bushfire Firefighting Crew Members to join our team providing fire coverage at the Delburn Wind Farm during the upcoming declared Fire Danger Period.
? ABOUT THE ROLE
Working under the direct supervision of a Crew Leader, Crew Members will undertake fire patrols, suppression, mop-up and blacking-out activities, helping to identify and manage hazards and support a safe and effective first-attack response.
We’re looking for people who work well in a team, communicate clearly, follow direction and work effectively under supervision. Experience in fire suppression operations is preferred, but not essential. Successful candidates will undertake FRC and site-specific inductions and training, including relevant National Units of Competency.
? YOU MUST HAVE:
- Current Australian Manual Driver’s Licence
- Current Construction Industry White Card
- Availability for all key dates
? WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Bushfire patrol, standby and firefighting operations
- Suppression, mop-up and blacking-out
- Daily vehicle pre-starts, weekly checks and basic maintenance
- Identify hazardous trees and other site hazards
- Operate firefighting equipment in accordance with procedures
- Participate in training and exercises
- Comply with JSEA, site and FRC safety requirements
- Participate in routine daily alcohol and random drug screening
