About the role

We are seeking a motivated and passionate front-end developer to join our highly performing product development team and help shape the front-end web client that powers our enterprise applications. This role is for someone who enjoys building high quality, well performing user interfaces and driving continuous improvement — evolving the framework, component patterns and reusable building blocks that the broader development team adopts. Working alongside senior technical team members, you will take ownership of front-end technical decisions, apply up-to-date engineering and AI automation practices to lift productivity, quality and consistency across the development team.

Key responsibilities

- Shape the front-end architecture — the framework, component patterns and reusable building blocks that the wider team adopts

- Build responsive, accessible and genuinely fast interfaces that hold up at enterprise data volumes and user loads

- Help define and continually lift our front-end engineering standards and design system, alongside senior technical leadership

- Apply AI and automation across the development lifecycle — identifying where engineering processes can be automated, then building, proving and rolling out the approach

- Bring ideas to the table — evaluate emerging tools, patterns and technologies, and make the case for the ones worth adopting

- Keep the quality bar high through automated testing, secure coding and thoughtful code review

- Mentor the developers around you, share what you learn, and help lift the capability of the team

- Work closely with product and back-end teams, keeping stakeholders up to date throughout the course of projects

About you

- Deep, demonstrable capability in React.js — hooks,



component architecture and modern state management — and work you can show us

- Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript, with solid HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and accessibility (WCAG) skills

- Proven ability to design and implement application framework patterns, design systems and reusable component libraries

- Sound understanding of RESTful API integration and Distributed Systems (n-tier) architecture

- Practical experience with automated front-end testing frameworks and CI/CD practices

- Hands-on experience applying AI and automation to engineering work — and the judgement to validate the output, with an eye to quality, security and intellectual property
- The ability to reason through a hard problem unaided, and to explain and defend a technical decision clearly
- An enterprise mindset — you understand that software people rely on every day has to be reliable, maintainable and secure
