Valour Health is a hybrid clinic dedicated to providing veterans across Australia with personalised, natural therapies that reflect their unique experiences and needs. The team focuses on supporting veterans living with chronic pain, pallative care indications and chronic health challenges, and service-related injuries through national hybrid consultations with experienced AHPRA registered medical specialist. We help patients access DVA-funded treatments and navigate regulatory processes, ensuring care is straightforward and well-coordinated.

From initial assessment to monitoring, Valour Health emphasizes continuity of care, safety, and outcomes aligned with each veteran’s goals - including allied health and alternative theraputic treatments. The clinic fosters a connected community built on service, resilience, and recovery.

Role Description

General Practitioner (VR) – Alternative Therapies for Veterans will provide clinical care to veteran patients through a combination of telehealth and in-person consultations in Queensland, Current South Wales, Western Australia, Australian Capital Terriory and Victoria, in a hybrid contract role: from your own space locally; work and home flexibility.

Clinical responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and reviewing treatment plans that integrate natural and complementary therapies, allied health, specialist support and monitoring patient progress over time.



As the practitioner you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary clinicians, and operational teams. The role also involves educating patients on treatment options, managing referrals where appropriate, advocating and coordining the DVA framework for funded care and supporting continuity of care through regular follow-up consultations.

We're a clinic who work together - clinically and operationally. Our dedicated team support you from start to finish from; education to coordinating DVA's framework and protocols.

Qualifications

- Clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care, with demonstrated ability to manage chronic conditions and complex presentations.
- Background in Family Medicine or General Practice, with a strong focus on holistic, patient-centered care.
- Experience collaborating with Nursing and other allied health professionals in integrated care settings.
- Current specialist medical registration with AHPRA and FRACGP (Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners) or FACRRM (Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine)
- Knowledge of DVA-funded treatment pathways and veteran-specific health needs, or willingness to develop this expertise.
- Strong communication, digital literacy, and documentation skills for telehealth and electronic medical records.
- Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and non-judgmental care, particularly for veteran populations.
