Pressure Welders (TIG) | Major Power Generation Facility | Central West NSW
Perfect opportunity for LOCAL NSW welders seeking consistent project hours close to home. This role does not offer transport to site.
CGC Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Pressure Welders for an immediate start at a major power generation facility, Central West NSW.
This opportunity will see you working on a major industrial project, performing TIG welding on carbon, chrome and stainless steel piping in a safety-focused and fast-paced setting.

- Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Saturday | 7:00am - 2:40pm
- $70/hr approx. (including allowances)
- $130/day LAHA / 7 days/wk
- Consistent hours with ongoing work potential
About the Role
- TIG welding of pressure pipework in a power generation environment
- Welding on carbon steel, chrome alloy and stainless steel piping systems
- Execution of welds in accordance with WPS and site quality requirements
- Pressure piping repairs, modifications and replacement works
- Pipe preparation, fit-up, root runs,
fill passes and cap welds
- Interpretation of isometric drawings and fabrication documents
- Shutdown and outage maintenance activities across plant infrastructure
- Workshop and field-based welding activities
- Adherence to strict QA/QC and safety procedures
Requirements
- AS1796 Cert 5 or 7 highly regarded
- Proven TIG pipe welding experience
- Carbon, Chrome & Stainless welding experience essential
- Power station, refinery, LNG or heavy industrial experience
- Ability to pass site weld test
- Experience with pressure piping systems
- Strong shutdown and outage maintenance background
- Current Confined Space & Working at Heights preferred
- Ability to read and interpret isometrics and weld procedures
- Previous boiler, turbine or balance-of-plant experience advantageous
- Own transport and ability to travel to site
- Australian working rights required
