CARPENTRY SITE SUPERVISOR / LEADING HAND / SENIOR CARPENTER

Are you a residential carpenter who has stepped into a Leading Hand or Site Supervisor role — and you're ready for your next opportunity?
Cranfield Group has partnered with a residential builder in South Brisbane, and we are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join the team.

This is an exciting chance for someone who wants to be part of a growing residential construction team with genuine long-term potential, as the team builds from its current 6 - many more.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The current team consists of 5 qualified carpenters and an apprentice.
You will initially be responsible for leading a team of three, overseeing residential new-build framing projects across Brisbane and the Logan corridor.

The current workload includes:
- Rochedale
- Yarrabilba
- Logan Village
- Barhs Scrub

The work is predominantly residential framing, including both prefabricated frames and stick framing, across a mixture of standard and high-end residential homes.

This is where the opportunity gets particularly exciting.

Coming into the new year, our client has secured a luxury residential project in The Gap, which will require a dedicated supervisor to take the project from ground level through to completion.

This will involve:
Ground-up construction | Complete framing | Finishing carpentry | Team supervision | Project coordination
The project is expected to run for several months and is intended to be the first of many similar projects as the business continues to grow.
We're therefore looking for someone who doesn't simply want their next job — we're looking for someone who wants to grow with the business.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You will ideally have:





- Previous experience as Site Supervisor or Carpentry Leading Hand
- Robust residential construction experience
- Cert III in Carpentry
- Cert IV in Building & Construction or equivalent
- QBCC licence
- Experience supervising carpentry teams
- Experience with prefab and/or stick framing
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to lead a team while still being hands-on

WHAT'S ON OFFER?
Very competitive hourly rates are available for the right person, with remuneration discussed during the screening process based on your experience and background.
The position will initially commence on a labour-hire basis as a trial period, allowing both you and the client to ensure the fit is right.
From there, the intention is to transition the successful candidate into a permanent position directly with the client, including a package to be discussed.
