About the job
We are seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead Wonil Hotel Perth, a distinctive boutique hotel within Accor's Handwritten Collection. This is an opportunity to take full ownership of the hotel's operational, commercial and cultural performance while leading its next chapter of growth.
This is a highly visible leadership role. You will be equally comfortable engaging with guests and supporting your team on the hotel floor as you are reviewing performance, shaping strategy and working closely with the hotel owner and key stakeholders.

As our next General Manager you will

Take full accountability for the hotel's operational and financial performance, including revenue, profitability, cost management, forecasting and achievement of the annual business plan.
Lead all facets of the operation, including rooms, food and beverage, revenue management, recruitment and training, guest experience, hotel presentation, sales, marketing, finance, engineering and security.
Develop and execute strategies that grow top line revenue, maximise profitability and strengthen Wonil's position within Perth's boutique hotel market.
Maintain strong financial governance, operational controls and reporting disciplines across the business.
Build and maintain trusted, transparent and collaborative relationships Accor regional teams, guests, clients and other key stakeholders.
Lead, coach and develop an engaged and accountable team, creating a culture where people feel valued and are empowered to perform at their best.




Be highly visible within the operation and champion a personalised guest experience that reflects the individuality and character of the Handwritten Collection brand.
Use guest feedback, customer sentiment, market intelligence and performance data to drive continuous improvement in service, product, commercial performance and operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities to further activate West Kitchen and Bar, the hotel's riverside location and its connection to the surrounding precinct and community.
Protect the owner asset through disciplined maintenance, capital planning, risk management and responsible use of resources.
Maintain excellent product, service and presentation standards while maximising revenue, balancing expenses and meeting all relevant safety, compliance, brand and Accor requirements.
Protect and elevate the quality, reputation and long term performance of Wonil Hotel Perth.

What we are looking for

You are a commercially astute and people focused hotel leader with the maturity, presence and judgement to lead a distinctive property and manage sophisticated stakeholder relationships.
A dynamic and level headed leadership style, supported by previous experience as a General Manager, Hotel Manager or senior hotel leader with broad exposure across hotel operations.




Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, revenue optimisation, cost control, profitability and capital planning.
A proven record of improving revenue, profit, guest experience and operational performance in a complex hospitality environment.
Strong personal integrity and accountability, with a disciplined approach to financial and operational governance.
Proven capability managing owner and stakeholder relationships, ideally within a hotel management agreement or similarly complex operating model.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders through transparency, credibility and constructive challenge.
Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high performing teams and creating explicit succession and development pathways.
A strong understanding of the key metrics that drive rooms and food and beverage performance, with the ability to turn insight into practical commercial action.
Strong guest experience instincts, high standards of personal presentation and an appreciation for the small details that differentiate a boutique hotel.
A mature and collaborative approach, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with a visible and practical leadership style.
An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to challenge established ways of working when there is an opportunity to improve.
Experience within a boutique, lifestyle or premium hotel environment will be highly regarded.
