Maxima, in partnership with The Pat GC at West Beach Parks, is seeking a motivated Trainee Greenkeeper to join their grounds team while completing a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management.

About the Role

Based at West Beach, you'll work alongside an experienced grounds team responsible for maintaining exceptional playing surfaces across the golf course.

As a Trainee Greenkeeper, you'll develop practical skills in:

- Golf course preparation and presentation
- Turf care and maintenance
- Mowing using professional turf equipment
- Irrigation installation and maintenance
- Weed, pest and disease management
- Sand bunker maintenance
- Hole and course set-up
- Safe operation of equipment and machinery

and you'll spend your time outdoors learning valuable skills that can lead to a long-term career in the turf industry.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Is reliable and punctual
- Likes hands-on work and learning practical skills
- Can work well in a team workplace
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards
- Has an interest in landscaping, gardening, horticulture, sports turf or golf (desirable but not essential)

No previous turf experience is required. If you're motivated, willing to learn and enjoy working outdoors, we'd love to hear from you.

Eligibility Requirements

- Available to work approximately 5:00am to 1:00pm
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work
- Able to successfully complete pre-employment assessments, including a drug and alcohol screen
