Greyhound Australia

Eagle Farm

About Greyhound Australia For more than 110 years, Greyhound Australia has been the heartbeat of this country — connecting people and places from red dirt roads to coastal highways, city lights to country towns.

Now part of Entrada Travel Group, we're building on that proud history with a focus on safety, service and the future of travel across Australia and New Zealand. We were the first coach operator in Australia to fit Guardian Seeing Machine technology across our entire fleet — and when it comes to the safety and wellbeing of our people, we're not done yet.

When you join Greyhound, you become part of the road that connects us all.

About the Role

This is a high-autonomy opportunity to find the growth most of the market can't see yet. Much of it is never formally advertised — success here depends on the relationships, industry standing and instinct to find it before it becomes a public tender, and the discipline to assess it properly before you commit time or cost.

Based in Brisbane with regular travel to depots, client sites and industry events, you'll own the full spectrum of national growth — from spotting opportunity in Defence, Resources, Utilities, Hospitals and Government, through to leading the bid and growing revenue on our existing network.

What you'll be doing:

- Identifying and securing new business in sectors Greyhound doesn't currently serve — Defence, Resources, Utilities, Hospitals and Government
- Building relationships across government, industry and the private sector to surface opportunities before they're public
- Representing Greyhound at the Bus Industry Confederation (BIC), TTF and other industry forums

- Assessing commercial viability and preparing business cases for new opportunities
- Leading formal proposals, tenders and bid responses, coordinating input from Operations, Fleet, Finance and Legal
- Managing and growing revenue on our existing network across passenger tickets, passes and freight

About You You back yourself to find the opportunity before it's a public tender, but you know the difference between a lead worth pursuing and a distraction — and you're not afraid to walk away early. You read an industry forum as a chance to build a relationship, not tick a box. Commercially sharp, quick to build trust, and genuinely curious about where the next opportunity might come from.

What you'll bring:

- Experience in business development, partnerships or capture management — ideally in transport, logistics, Defence or resources
- A track record leading formal tender, proposal or bid processes from identification through to contract award
- Robust business case development and financial return modelling skills
- Sound commercial judgement and negotiation skills, with comfort operating independently across a large geographic footprint
- A current driver's licence, given regular travel to depots, client sites and industry events

Existing relationships within BIC or state bus and coach associations, and exposure to Defence or government procurement, are a bonus. This role comes with a base salary plus commission structure.

Ready to find the opportunity nobody else has spotted yet?

If you believe the best deals are found before they're a tender — we'd love to hear from you. Apply now.
