An exciting leadership opportunity exists for an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing professional to lead the organisation’s safety strategy and drive a strong culture of wellbeing, risk management and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will provide expert advice across the organisation, influence leaders at all levels and lead a small team responsible for health and safety, return to work and wellbeing programs.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and wellbeing strategies and systems
- Driving compliance with relevant workplace health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements
- Partnering with executive leaders, managers and employees to embed a proactive safety culture
- Managing incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions, including serious incidents
- Overseeing injury management,
return to work and employee wellbeing initiatives
- Analysing safety and wellbeing data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
- Leading and developing a small specialist team to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Managing budgets, resources and organisational priorities within the function
To be successful, you will bring:
- Significant experience in a senior Health, Safety and Wellbeing leadership role
- Solid knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, risk management and injury management frameworks
- Demonstrated success developing and implementing organisation-wide safety and wellbeing strategies
- Experience leading investigations, managing complex workplace issues and driving practical risk mitigation outcomes
- Proven people leadership capability with the ability to coach, mentor and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline
