Volley Recruit is currently seeking experienced Underground Heavy Diesel Mechanics for an ongoing opportunity in Broken Hill, NSW.
WHAT'S ON OFFER

- 7 days on / 7 days off roster (Negotiable)
- Flights , Accommodation and Meals provided
THE ROLE Working iin a Hardrock mining environment , You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a fleet of underground mining and heavy mobile equipment, helping maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
Key duties include
- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical fault finding
- Underground breakdown repairs
- Component change-outs including engines, transmissions, pumps and cylinders
- Equipment inspections and defect identification
- Reading hydraulic/electrical schematics and OEM manuals
- Testing and returning equipment safely to production
- Working closely with operators, auto electricians and the maintenance team
- Following strict isolation, risk assessment and WHS procedures
ABOUT YOU
You will need
- Recognised Australian Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant / Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Relevant High Risk licences and tickets (HR Licence)
- Robust mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
- Ability to work underground and rotating day/night shifts
- Strong safety record and commitment to safe work practices
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screen
