GLCH provides an extensive range of health and community services to the people of East Gippsland, whilst actively promoting integrated service provision. GLCH has demonstrated its capability in the community and is highly regarded by professional and local community groups in the region as well as local members of parliament.
Primarily based in Lakes Entrance, (with travel to other GLCH sites as required), the Home and Community Based Nursing Manager provides day-to-day management and clinical and professional leadership across home-based, aged and complex care nursing services, including palliative care. Reporting to the Executive Manager, you will support a capable team to deliver safe, responsive and high-quality care that meets community needs.
Key responsibilities in this role include: -
· Leading efficient,
effective and compliant home and community-based nursing programs
· Providing robust clinical leadership and supporting client-centred, evidence-based care
· Monitoring clinical risk, client safety, service quality, incidents, complaints and emerging issues
· Managing staffing, rostering, supervision, recruitment, induction and performance development
· Monitoring service targets, funding requirements and timely reporting to funding bodies
· Developing policies, procedures and improvement strategies, and contributing to GLCH strategic planning
· Managing the approved team budget, billing processes and monthly financial reporting
· Building effective relationships with health service providers and key community organisations To be successful, you will be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and clinical experience and knowledge appropriate to the scope of the service.
You will bring demonstrated experience leading and mentoring staff, together with sound clinical governance capability, including the effective management of clinical risk and client safety. A postgraduate qualification and experience in a relevant clinical area will be highly regarded but are not mandatory.
You will bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a well-organised and practical approach to your work. You'll be comfortable managing competing priorities, adapting to changing needs and working through challenges, while building positive relationships and contributing both independently, and as part of a team.
